Mark is the Founder and Chairman of Taysols. He is a recognised Business Analytics expert and has worked in the domain for over 25 years. Mark founded our Hosting services, co-founded our support services and holds board positions with IT start-up companies.

Prior to founding Taysols in 2002, Mark was Partner in Charge of KPMG’s analytical solutions and ERP practices and before that, back in the 80’s and 90’s, was responsible for the global reporting of a European based conglomerate. In between, he served spells in treasury and accounting roles and has lived in QLD, VIC, NSW and Europe.

Oddly, Mark is somewhat torn between being an IT geek and a finance person and it is this combination, along with 20 years of application architecture, design, management and implementation that makes him of value to clients and the firm alike.

In his spare time Mark is actively involved in philanthropy, the arts, adventuring, motorbiking and cycling the last of which seems to take place at absurd times of the morning, before the break of dawn. To fuel all of this activity, Mark has been known to enjoy a meal or two.

Jayson is a Director of Taysols. He has been working on Business Intelligence and Performance Management solutions for almost 15 years and is considered a leader in these fields in the Australian market place. Jayson has designed, implemented and/or supported Business Analytics solutions from most of the leading vendors having worked directly with Business Objects (SAP), Cognos (IBM), Microsoft, MicroStrategy, Oracle and indirectly with a number of the smaller vendors.

Prior to joining Taysols, Jayson had a strong career in Strategy and Management consulting within the Business Analytics domain and he is responsible for both sales and delivery within the Taysols consulting business.

While obtaining his degree Jayson started up an innovative business to enhance road safety for large vehicles and brings this passion for great solutions to all his customer engagements.
Domiciled in Melbourne, Jayson shares that city’s love of great food, small bars, and magnificent golf courses.

While he will never admit it he also enjoys taxiing his two children about between their busy weekend activities.

Åsa is a Principal Consultant and the CFO of Taysols. She joined Taysols in 2004 after an impressive career as a group accountant and management consultant. In 2007 Åsa became a Director of our support business Taysolsblue. Her expertise and experience in group accounting and FP&A combined with an impeccable technical knowledge makes her the finest Hyperion Financial Management consultant in the region; and as such an invaluable asset to the Taysols team.

Åsa first became involved with the Hyperion solutions when she worked with the founder of Hyperion back in 1986. Prior to joining Taysols, Åsa worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG and as a Principal Consultant at Cognos, winning awards at both organisations.

At KPMG, she was the Asia Pacific lead for Hyperion’s Advanced Applications Group, the pinnacle of HFM consultants around the world. Prior to KPMG, Åsa was the group accountant for a Swedish based conglomerate with operations in over 40 countries and was a member of the company’s executive committee.

Åsa has accounting qualifications and is certified in all versions of HFM and Hyperion Planning as well as Oracle’s legacy consolidation and budgeting solutions (Enterprise and Pillar respectively). When not working, Åsa is an ardent reader, enjoys the arts and theatre, maintains a scary level of fitness and speaks several languages.

Ben is the National Business Development Manager and brings over 16 years experience working in IT. A Civil Engineer who enjoyed computers more so than building roads, he started his career on the helpdesk for Franklins Supermarkets. He spent the next 8 years working in Application Development and Support for a number of multinationals and smaller organisations including a 3 year stint living in the UK.

Ben’s focus on Business Development and assisting clients reach their organisational goals began 8 years ago and he entered the Business Analytics space around 6 years ago when working at Oracle.

After successful times at Oracle and MicroStrategy in which Ben worked closely with the Taysols team to help deliver a number of solutions for our clients he spent time at PwC fine tuning his Analytics Consulting skills. Ben joined Taysols in June 2015 with a primary focus on helping new and existing clients achieve Business Analytics success through the value add services that Taysols delivers.

Ben spends most of his time away from work with his family of 2 kids and wherever possible squeezing in a game of golf! He enjoys running and combines this with his fund raising for Can Too which raises money for Cure Cancer Australia.

Fergal is the National Analytics Lead at Taysols and has responsibilities across: Advanced Analytics, Predictive Analytics/Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Big data/Hadoop/Real-time data processing, Corporate BI, On-premise and cloud-based enterprise reporting and data warehousing. He has been working in the IT industry for over 15 years and is recognised by his peers as an expert in the full BI stack.

He has designed and led implementation teams across large scale data warehouses, as well as near-real time and in-memory BI solutions for numerous organisations. Prior to joining Taysols, Fergal lead Business Intelligence teams in Europe and for a well-established Australian brand.

He has architected BI solutions across Finance, Sales, CRM, Inventory, Manufacturing, Retail and Insurance domains.

Fergal holds a research masters in computer science and has a deep understanding of how successfully implemented BI can add significant value to an organisation.

When not working for Taysols, Fergal can be found on a surfboard or a yoga mat.

Paul is our APAC Support & Cloud Services Lead.

Originally from England, Paul made his way to Australia in 2009 and soon established his career in the financial planning and analysis sector.  He joined Taysols in 2014 and immediately became a valuable member of the team, steadily driving the team’s performance.

With over 20 years of experience covering a wide spectrum of industries including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Transport, Pharmaceuticals, Government, and Retail, Paul has just what it takes to lead our APAC support and cloud team and represent Taysols as part of ba2 worldwide.

Paul is an avid soccer player and is determined to teach his two kids how to ‘bend it like Beckham’. Besides running on the field, he is also a well-travelled foodie and we rely on his recommendations when going overseas.

Aaron is our National EPM Practice Lead and oversees the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) division, dealing with stakeholders at all levels across multiple sectors in the corporate, manufacturing, transport and public sectors.

With over 20 years’ experience, he has extensive knowledge in the implementation of system development projects covering all aspects of the system development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, training and deployment.

 

 

 Aaron joined Taysols in 2012 and has become a driving force within the business. Prior to Taysols, Aaron worked as a technical lead and solution architect on numerous EPM implementations.

 In his spare time, Aaron is an avid Ice Hockey player and supporter of the Philadelphia Flyers. He is an accomplished photographer and enjoys travelling with his wife and son.
