Following two rounds of intensive analysis of the organisation's processes and systems, Taysols has been engaged by this major Australian Airline to design, implement and deploy an advanced planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting system. The system, when complete, will facilitate both group and business unit requirements, maximising commonality wherever possible while still honouring the unique needs of the segments.
The engagement will streamline both the compilation and reporting of forward looking information for the company and will include the design and deployment of executive reporting. In an environment requiring faster turnaround of outputs, it was imperative that a solid platform was build that enabled both bottom up and top down analysis.
Taysols will develop a system capable of supporting comprehensive and complex "what - if" modelling along with the ability to flow reports up and down the information supply chain in a simple to use, resource efficient manner. The system will aid in the control of what is typically a highly iterative process and will enable full versioning control and comparisons. Importantly, the system will interface to many of the systems used as sources for reporting and planning and thus will alleviate much of the time consuming task of manual intervention.
Core to the solution will be the development of a mechanism to maintain organisational and rule conformity across the organisation so that a change in the desired structures due to re-organisations, acquisitions and divestitures automatically ripple through to the supporting BPM applications, wherever applicable. Inherent in this is the reflection of common rules to support group wide driver based prognostication.
"Taysols have put in an enormous amount of effort in analysing the processes, procedures and systems to date, making recommendations along the way to assist them in achieving their desired end state. We are honoured to have been selected to convert our process improvement blueprint into a tangible solution which will be used by hundreds of staff to rapidly turn around planning and reporting - tilting the balance significantly towards analysis from mechanics." Mark Taylor, Director of Taysols said.
