The University of Sydney confirms Engagement of Taysols

15 November 2005

The University of Sydney today confirmed the ongoing engagement of Taysols as the consulting partner for the strategic Enterprise Reporting project. Phase 1 of the project entailed building a reporting and analysis environment that sourced its information from PeopleSoft Financials and secondly, to build a budgeting and planning system that could collect and consolidate budgets and forecasts from across the University. This phase of the project has been completed successfully and work is now underway to extend the number of data sources for reporting purposes, including HR and student-related data sources.

Furthermore the 'reach' of the budgeting and planning application is to be broadened and the introduction of additional modules, such as balanced scorecard and a business modelling applications, is to be considered.

"Business Performance Management is an evolutionary process. The vision is to have a single framework across the organisation in place so that one can access consistent information sourced from a variety of places and joined to create meaningful outcomes for greater analysis. In phase 1 of the project, the University of Sydney has taken a giant leap towards this goal; in phase 2 the University will continue the journey and realise associated benefits on its way." Mark Taylor, Director of Taysols said.
