Taysols Handball Club makes Grand Final

01 August 2005

In what can only be labelled a major triumph, Taysols HC today qualified for the New South Wales Handball Grand Final. After a formidable season that saw Taysols HC first qualify for the top league then confirm its strong performance by challenging and defeating the very best teams in the State, Taysols HC is now facing the top contender Sydney University in the NSW Grand Final.

"Unlike any other team in the competition, we have defeated Sydney Uni once before" player, coach, and Taysols Principal Consultant, Christoph Mecker, said. "We are determined to do the impossible but acknowledge that regardless of the result we can look back on a very successful inaugural season".

Mark Taylor, Director of Taysols and Principal Sponsor of the club, confirmed his company's ongoing commitment to the team. "We have made a difference to a sport undeservingly lacking in popularity in Australia. I am keen to raise the profile of this terrific sport by continuing to support the Taysols team and look forward to seeing the competition extend to a National level. Good luck to the team in the Grand Final.
