FIL Limited (‘Fidelity International’) was established nearly 40 years ago and manages more than AUD285 billion (as at 31 March 2008) for investors around the world - major institutions as well as private individuals. Established in Australia in 1996.  Fidelity International has two major businesses in Australia – FIL Investment Management (Australia) Limited which began operations in 1996 and FIL Asia Services Pty Ltd. Fidelity Asia Services provides centralised finance and accounting functions for Fidelity’s businesses in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

John Swire & Sons is headquartered in Sydney and a wholly-owned subsidiary of John Swire & Sons Ltd. Swire's business interests in Australia date from its early 19th-century import-export operations. After the Second World War, Swire's trade with Australia prospered on the back of regular passenger and cargo liner services. Today, Swire's interests in Australia focus on cold storage, refrigerated distribution services, road transportation, materials handling, arable and livestock farming and liner shipping services. Swire has invested substantially in rural properties in New South Wales and Queensland, where it produces four key commodities: cotton, wool, beef and wheat.

Leighton Holdings Limited is the parent company of Australia’s largest project development and contracting group. Founded in Victoria in 1949, the organisation has grown from a small, privately owned civil engineering firm into a dynamic group that includes Leighton Contractors, Thiess, John Holland, Leighton International, Leighton Properties and Leighton Asia. With around 37,000 employees, the Group’s operations are spread all around the Asia-Pacific region. Leighton Holdings is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and has its head office in Sydney.

OneSteel is the largest manufacturer of steel long products and is the leading metals distribution company in Australia, with revenues of over $3 billion Australian dollars. OneSteel has over 200 operational sites in Australia and New Zealand, more than 30,000 customers and employs approximately 7,300 people. The majority of OneSteel's products are used in the construction, manufacturing, housing, mining and agricultural industries.

The University of Technology Sydney was formed at the beginning of 1988 from the former NSW Institute of Technology, and was restructured in 1990 with the merger of the 'Old UTS' with the Kuring-gai College of Advanced Education, the School of Design, and the Institute of Technical and Adult Teacher Education, forming the current UTS.
